Holiday Capsule – What to take on Holiday
July has arrived and so has the summer sunshine. With the school holidays approaching many are starting to think about their long-awaited sunshine holiday and then comes the inevitable dilemma of what to take on holiday.
If you like many others take a suitcase full of clothes every year, only to wear less than half of the items then why not this year think more about a capsule wardrobe for your holiday?
For one week in the sun, why not just pack light and make the most of a holiday capsule wardrobe. Less time packing more time, more time partying!
What to take on holiday!
My recommended holiday essentials would be:
- Maxi dress
- Sun dress
- Summer Dress
- Summer skirt
- Pair of shorts
- Pair of lightweight trousers
- 2 Evening tops
- 2 Daytime tops
- Cover up for evening
- Pair of sandals
- Pair of flat sandals
- Swimwear
- Cover up for beach/pool
- Flip flops for on the beach/by the pool.
- Hat
- Jewellery
- Beach Bag
- Evening Clutch
- Tote bag (used on plane as hand luggage)
- Statement sunglasses
The way to best make the holiday capsule wardrobe work is to mix and match with your accessories.
You can wear all 3 dresses once during day and once for evenings out, each time with either the flats or wedges and different accessories. Tops can be alternated with shorts, trousers or your skirt for different looks, finished with favourite accessories and summer lipstick shades.
Be brave, just take these few items and you really will be surprised how many different looks you can create with the holiday essential clothing list.
